The problem
Your wall has no alphabet that children actually look at
A child needs to see a letter and its picture many times, and a big poster keeps both in sight.
Letters without pictures
A letter alone is abstract, and a picture gives it a hook.
Referring to the wall
Children look up when they get stuck, and a poster gives them an answer.
Seeing it every day
Repeated exposure is what makes a letter stick.
Full-page letter cards A to Z, each with a large picture, to hang up, flip through or use in a circle time.
