Why get the bundle
- Comparing needs a lot of looks at the same idea. Several formats mean children say more than, less than and the same as many times.
The problem
Is 18 more than 1? Yes, but why?
Past 10, children cannot picture numbers as easily. They need to learn how to decide with the digits, not just a feeling.
Looking at the first digit only
Between 12 and 9, some children pick 12 because the 1 looks small. Judging teens takes a quick check of tens first.
The same-as trap
Equal numbers, like 8 and 8, confuse children who feel they must choose one.
Counting up to compare
Counting each number from 1 is slow. A number line or ten frame lets them see which is farther along.
Each question asks for more than, less than or the same as with numbers up to 20, so children say the words and the fact together.
What’s inside
30 questions, one per slide.
Students type straight into the box — no printing, no cutting.

Questions
Before you buy.
How is this different from the PreK version?
It goes to 20, so teens enter. Children need to think about tens and ones, not only small piles.
Will symbols be used?
No. This set is words only. For > and < symbols, see our Comparing Numbers sets.
How do I get the file?
The download link appears right after checkout and lands in your inbox at the same time. One PowerPoint file you can open in Google Slides.
Can I share it with my class?
Yes — one teacher can use it with their own students, this year and next. Sharing the file with other teachers needs a separate license.
Do I need Google Slides?
No. The file is a PowerPoint (.pptx). It opens in PowerPoint, and in Google Slides once you upload it to Google Drive.
