Why get the bundle
- Letter counting pairs well with math skills. The bundle gives different formats so a child can count letters in games, with cards, and on a short check.
The problem
How many letters in 'we'? The answer is two, but he guesses
Counting letters is where counting and reading meet. Preschoolers must look at the word, point at each letter, and say a number, which is a lot of steps.
Counting by touch
Many children count a word by eye and say the wrong number. Pointing to each letter once keeps count steady.
Word or letter?
'Two' could mean two words or two letters. Children mix up the idea that a word is made of separate letters.
Counting meets reading
A child who counts to ten easily may still stumble when counting symbols that look like tiny shapes.
Each page shows a short word like on, we or us and asks for the letter count. Two-letter words come first so children master touch-counting before longer words.

Questions
Before you buy.
My child counts to 20 easily. Why practice this?
Counting objects and counting letters are different tasks. Letters are small, tightly packed and look alike, so children need practice touching each one.
How do I get the file?
The download link appears right after checkout and lands in your inbox at the same time. One PowerPoint file you can open in Google Slides.
Can I share it with my class?
Yes — one teacher can use it with their own students, this year and next. Sharing the file with other teachers needs a separate license.
Do I need Google Slides?
No. The file is a PowerPoint (.pptx). It opens in PowerPoint, and in Google Slides once you upload it to Google Drive.
