Why get the bundle
- A few formats mean children count many different groups, which builds real accuracy through repetition.
The problem
Counting the teens, one by one
Teen numbers do not follow the pattern children know. Thirteen is not 'ten-three,' and counting objects past ten gets slippery.
Teen words are odd
Eleven and twelve do not sound like ten-one or ten-two. Memorizing the words is half the work.
Losing track in a big group
Children recount or skip objects in groups of 15 or 18. Moving counted items to one side helps.
Counting without last-number meaning
Some children say twenty but cannot tell if that is how many. They need to see that the last count is the total.
Cards show groups from 1 to 20 for children to count and say. Grouping, touching and moving objects supports accurate counting.
