Division with Remainders for 3rd to 4th grade: 30 question slides with a type-in answer box, plus an answer key slide.
What’s inside this download
- 30 question slides, one question per slide
- A type-in answer box on every question
- A title slide and an answer key slide at the end
- One .pptx file — opens in Google Slides and PowerPoint
Why choose this over a free activity
- Wrong choices are real remainder mistakes
- Quotient-r-remainder format
- Keys show quotient and remainder, so a rounded-up answer or oversized remainder is easy to find
- No printing — works on a laptop, tablet or classroom screen
License and file format
- One .pptx file; upload it to Google Drive to open it in Google Slides
- One teacher or one household. Use it with your own students, this year and next
- Sharing the file itself needs a separate license
- Digital download — nothing ships
How do I get the files?
- The download link is on the order page the moment you pay, and in your inbox at the same time
- Re-download from that link any time — no account needed

Why get the bundle
- Remainders need practice in different forms. Cards, bingo and games help children see the pattern.
The problem
58 divided by 8 is 7 r 2, not 8 r 2
Remainders are where division gets messy. Children round up, drop the remainder, or write one larger than the divisor.
Rounding the quotient up
58 / 8 is near 7.25, so some children write 8. The quotient is the whole number of full groups.
A remainder that's too big
7 r 6 would mean there is a seventh group of 8 ready to make. The remainder must be smaller than the divisor.
Forgetting the remainder
Children stop at 7 and ignore what's left over. The leftover is part of the answer.
Answer choices include real traps: a rounded-up quotient, a remainder that is too large. Children find the biggest multiple, then the difference.
