Why get the bundle
- Input-output tables repeat the same idea with new rules. Cards, games and color-by-code give children many to try.
The problem
Rule + 6, in 26, out 156
An input-output table applies one rule to many numbers. Children multiply when the rule says add, or feed the last answer back in.
Using the wrong operation
With the rule + 6 and input 26, a child writes 156 by multiplying. The sign in the rule is the first thing to read.
Using the last output
In the next row the input is a new number, not the answer from the row above. Each row stands alone.
Seeing what the rule does
Children who can say the rule in words, like 'add 6 each time', make fewer slips.
Each question states a rule and an input and asks for the output. The choices include the wrong-operation answer, so the slip shows.
What’s inside
30 questions, one per slide.
Students type straight into the box — no printing, no cutting.
