- No printing — works on a laptop, tablet or classroom screen
License and file format
- One .pptx file; upload it to Google Drive to open it in Google Slides
- One teacher or one household. Use it with your own students, this year and next

Why get the bundle
- Poster, cards and games let children see the same conversions again and again, which is how the facts stick.
The problem
4 feet is 48 inches, so why did they write 16?
Changing units means multiplying or dividing by 12 or 3. Children guess which one, or just copy the number.
Dividing when they should multiply
Going from feet to inches makes a bigger number, so multiply by 12. Dividing 4 by 12 or adding 12 gives wrong answers like 16.
Not knowing the conversion fact
12 inches in a foot and 3 feet in a yard have to be known. Without them, children cannot start.
Copying the number
For 36 in = ? ft, some write 36 again. Changing the unit changes the number, and answers like 3 show that.
Each question gives a length and asks for another unit. Choices include the copy-the-number answer and the wrong-operation answer. A poster lists the conversion facts.
What’s inside
