The problem
Little b, big B: the two shapes don't feel like the same thing
Preschoolers often learn capitals at home and lowercase at school, or the other way around. Matching bridges the two sets.
Two alphabets in one
To a three-year-old, a and A are different symbols. The idea of one letter in two shapes is new.
Little ones that look big
c, o, s, v, w, x, z look the same in both cases. Children must notice size, not shape.
Pointing and matching
The task asks for fine pointing and eye tracking, which is a lot for a young child. Short runs keep it from being tiring.
The prompt is a lowercase letter and the answer is its capital. Early letters come first, in alphabet order, so children can lean on the song to check.
What’s inside

Questions
Before you buy.
Is this the same as the kindergarten matching?
It covers the same idea but is set up for preschool. Letters run in alphabet order, so children use the song to help while learning pairs.
Do children need to know all the letters?
No. Items run A to Z in order, so you can stop wherever your child's letters end.
How do I get the file?
The download link appears right after checkout and lands in your inbox at the same time. One PowerPoint file you can open in Google Slides.
Can I share it with my class?
Yes — one teacher can use it with their own students, this year and next. Sharing the file with other teachers needs a separate license.
Do I need Google Slides?
No. The file is a PowerPoint (.pptx). It opens in PowerPoint, and in Google Slides once you upload it to Google Drive.
What if it isn’t right for us?
