Why get the bundle
- Seeing the missing number in games and cards helps children think about the whole equation.
The problem
2 + ? = 6 and the answer is 8
Children see two numbers and an equals sign and add them. A question mark in the middle changes the job.
Adding the two numbers shown
2 + ? = 6 becomes 8 when a child adds 2 and 6. The question is how many more to make 6.
Counting from the start
To find the partner, children can count up from 2 on fingers. It works but takes a long time.
The question mark
The ? is just a number waiting to be found. Some children treat it as a sign or leave it blank until it is read as 'how many?'
Each item has a hidden number to find: 7 + ? = 8. Children count up from the first number to the total, or use the fact family.
What’s inside
30 questions, one per slide.
Students type straight into the box — no printing, no cutting.
