Why get the bundle
- Order practice grows with variety. The bundle adds cards and games, so a child may see a missing letter on a card, a bingo board and a page.
The problem
a __ c: a child who sings the song can't fill the gap
Filling in a missing letter means looking at both neighbors. Many preschoolers only know the alphabet as a song that runs start to finish.
One gap, two neighbors
The blank sits between letters, so children use the letter before and the one after. It's more than a song.
Lowercase confusion
With b, d, p and q, a child can say the right sound and still pick the flipped shape.
Starting from the top
Many children run the song from a to find b. That works, but the page asks them to look first.
Each item shows three lowercase letters with the middle one missing. Children fill the gap with what comes between, practicing order in the middle of the alphabet.
What’s inside
24 questions, one per slide.
Students type straight into the box — no printing, no cutting.

Who it’s for
Built for the kitchen table and the classroom.
Parents & homeschool
Cover one letter on an alphabet chart and ask your child what's hiding underneath.
Teachers
Use as a center after alphabet song practice, or for children who struggle to place a letter.
Early learners
Good for children who know the song and need to think about letters as separate things.

Questions
Before you buy.
How is this different from 'what comes next'?
'Next' looks only at the letter before. A missing middle needs both neighbors, so children must think about the line of letters.
Is it lowercase or uppercase?
This one is lowercase. There's an uppercase version too, and they pair well.
How do I get the file?
The download link appears right after checkout and lands in your inbox at the same time. One PowerPoint file you can open in Google Slides.
Can I share it with my class?
Yes — one teacher can use it with their own students, this year and next. Sharing the file with other teachers needs a separate license.
Do I need Google Slides?
No. The file is a PowerPoint (.pptx). It opens in PowerPoint, and in Google Slides once you upload it to Google Drive.
