Why get the bundle
- Months need repeat views to stick. The bundle adds games and assessment so you can check which months a child still mixes up.
The problem
After March comes ... what? The calendar isn't a song yet
Months come in a fixed order, and children have to memorize twelve long words. Many learn them as a chant with some months missing.
Twelve long words
February and September are long and hard to say. Many children skip or swap months when reciting.
Looks-alike months
June and July, March and May sound and look alike. Children pick the wrong one when they match by the first letter.
Where the year starts
Children know their birthday month, but not where it sits. The line from January to December is new.
Each page gives a month and asks for the one that follows. Children use the order, not the chant, to find the next month.

Questions
Before you buy.
Is this reading practice or calendar practice?
Both. Children read month names and place them in order, which also builds sight vocabulary.
Do children need to read the months?
They should recognize them with some help. You can read the prompt aloud and let your child answer.
How do I get the file?
The download link appears right after checkout and lands in your inbox at the same time. One PDF with 3 pages. No account needed.
Can I print it more than once?
Yes. One teacher or one household can print unlimited copies for their own students, this year and next.
Will it print in color?
The pages are designed to print in black and white, so they print clean on any home or school printer and do not eat a cartridge.
