- One .pptx file — opens in Google Slides and PowerPoint
Why choose this over a free activity
- Includes the 11s and 12s
- Supports splitting strategies
- Keys cover the elevens and twelves, so you know which new facts are still shaky
- No printing — works on a laptop, tablet or classroom screen
License and file format
- One .pptx file; upload it to Google Drive to open it in Google Slides
- One teacher or one household. Use it with your own students, this year and next
- Sharing the file itself needs a separate license
- Digital download — nothing ships
How do I get the files?
- The download link is on the order page the moment you pay, and in your inbox at the same time
- Re-download from that link any time — no account needed
- Wrong or broken file? Email support@pencillane.com and we fix it or refund you
Why get the bundle
- The elevens and twelves need more passes than the rest. Cards, games and color-by-code give those passes without repeating a page.
The problem
12 x 7 is not on the tables they grew up with
Facts to 12 add the elevens and twelves. They are less familiar, and the patterns that help with 9s and 10s do not apply.
Elevens beyond 9
11 x 9 = 99 follows a pattern, but 11 x 12 does not, and children guess or miscount.
Twelves feel like new work
Few children have heard 12 x 7 chanted. Without practice, they do not know where to start.
Not splitting the problem
12 x 7 is 10 sevens plus 2 sevens. Children who split need less memory.
Facts through 12 x 12 are mixed with easier ones. Children build the elevens and twelves from facts they already know, then practice until they are quick.
What’s inside
