Why get the bundle
- Games, cards and checks give children many sets of three to order. The bundle lets them practice until the middle number is not lost.
The problem
17, 11, 18: where does the middle one go?
Putting three numbers in order is the first time children must place a middle number. Many find the smallest and largest and drop the rest anywhere.
Losing the middle number
A child picks 11 as the smallest and 18 as the biggest, but puts 17 wherever it lands.
Teens that look alike
17, 11 and 18 all start with 1. The ones digit decides, which is new for many kindergartners.
A single digit among teens
In 16, 2, 4 children may put 16 first because it starts with 1, the smallest digit they know.
Each item has three numbers within 20 to put in order from least to greatest. Children find the smallest, then the next, and read the three aloud to check.
