Why get the bundle
- Rhyme and word families work together. The bundle has more formats for the same pairs, so the endings stick before your child starts reading them.
The problem
Back, hack, ... he can't make words that rhyme on his own
Producing a rhyme is harder than hearing one. It takes sound awareness and a bank of words to draw from.
Same ending, different letters
Words can rhyme without matching spellings, like 'bag' and 'gag'. Children must listen, not rely on spelling.
Starting with the first sound
Children often pick a word that starts the same, like back and bag, because beginnings are easier to hear.
Making vs. judging
Hearing that two words rhyme is easier than finding one. Choices give children a set to pick from.
Each prompt gives a word and asks for one that rhymes. Pairs come from word families like -ack, -ad and -ag, so children also see spelling patterns.

Questions
Before you buy.
Does it connect to reading?
Yes. Rhyming words often share spelling patterns, like -ack, which helps children read new words by analogy.
What if my child picks a non-word?
Silly rhymes are fine for listening. The page uses real words, so you can talk about which ones make sense.
How do I get the file?

Can I share it with my class?
Yes — one teacher can use it with their own students, this year and next. Sharing the file with other teachers needs a separate license.
Do I need Google Slides?
No. The file is a PowerPoint (.pptx). It opens in PowerPoint, and in Google Slides once you upload it to Google Drive.
