The problem
2, 4, 6, 8: which numbers get skipped?
Skip counting by twos is the doorway to even numbers and multiplication. Children often count every number silently and stop at the right ones.
Counting every number
A child whispers 1, 2, 3, 4 and says every second one. This is slow and falls apart after ten.
Crossing ten
After 8 and 10, the next number is 12. Many children say 11 because the number words change.
Starting in the middle
Runs like 6, 8, 10 begin in the middle of the sequence. Children who only chant from 2 have to start over.
Each card shows a short run of twos and asks for the next one. Children say the run, listen to the pattern and continue it, starting from different places.
What’s inside
30 questions, one per slide.
Students type straight into the box — no printing, no cutting.

Questions
Before you buy.
Is there a digital deck?
Yes. A Google Slides deck can be used to chant counts by twos together.
Do runs start at 2?
Runs start at different numbers, so children cannot just chant from 2.
How do I get the file?
The download link appears right after checkout and lands in your inbox at the same time. One PowerPoint file you can open in Google Slides.
Can I share it with my class?
Yes — one teacher can use it with their own students, this year and next. Sharing the file with other teachers needs a separate license.
Do I need Google Slides?
No. The file is a PowerPoint (.pptx). It opens in PowerPoint, and in Google Slides once you upload it to Google Drive.
