Why get the bundle
- Having greater and smaller sets together makes children read each question. The bundle includes both.
The problem
Which is smaller, 20 or 8? 5 or 15?
Asked for the smaller number, children often pick the bigger. The word smaller is easy to flip.
Choosing the bigger one
A child looks for the largest number when asked for the smallest. Reading the question word is part of the skill.
Teens versus single digits
15 has two digits, so it looks bigger than 5. The word smaller means choosing 5, not 15.
Counting up to compare
Counting from 1 to find which comes first takes time. A number line or ten frame shows it at once.
Each question gives two numbers within 20 and asks for the smaller. Children read the question word, then use a ten frame or number line to check.
What’s inside
30 questions, one per slide.
Students type straight into the box — no printing, no cutting.
Which Number is Smaller

Title to answer key
A title slide first, the answer key last.

Who it’s for
Built for the kitchen table and the classroom.
Parents & homeschool
Place two number cards on a number path. The one closer to 0 is smaller.
Teachers
Use in kindergarten as a center. Pair with Which Number is Greater, so children read the question word every time.
Number sense
Both greater and smaller practice stops children from defaulting to one answer.

Questions
Before you buy.
How is this different from the greater set?
Same numbers, opposite question. Doing both keeps children from always choosing the big one.
Is there bingo?
Yes. The bingo game has children spot the smaller number on a card.
How do I get the file?
The download link appears right after checkout and lands in your inbox at the same time. One PowerPoint file you can open in Google Slides.
Can I share it with my class?
Yes — one teacher can use it with their own students, this year and next. Sharing the file with other teachers needs a separate license.
Do I need Google Slides?
No. The file is a PowerPoint (.pptx). It opens in PowerPoint, and in Google Slides once you upload it to Google Drive.
