Why get the bundle
- A bundle gives children the same pairs in clip cards, flash cards and task cards, which builds a larger stock of words.
The problem
Big, large, huge: why do we need all of them?
Children have a small stock of go-to words. Learning a second word with the same meaning is the first step toward richer writing.
One word per idea
Kids use 'big' for everything. Alternatives like large aren't part of their working vocabulary.
Nearly-the-same words
'Quick' sits next to 'large' in the choices, but doesn't mean the same as big. Careful reading is needed.
Mixing up with antonyms
Synonyms and antonyms get confused. Children need to ask if the words mean the same or opposite.
Each card shows a word and several choices, and the child picks the one with the same meaning, so pairs like small and little become familiar.
What’s inside
30 questions, one per slide.
Students type straight into the box — no printing, no cutting.
Synonyms
Written for 1st to 2nd grade.
Title to answer key
A title slide first, the answer key last.
Google Slides & PowerPoint
One .pptx file that opens in both.
Look inside
One question per slide, with a box to type the answer.
