Why get the bundle
- Short i families repeat naturally, so the bundle adds games and an assessment. Children revisit the endings without losing interest.
The problem
-ig, -in, -ip, -it: four endings, all easy to mix
Short i families look very similar. Fig, fin, fit and fix differ by one letter, and children often just guess.
One letter apart
Dig, din, dip and dit look alike. A child who glances at the first two letters will guess.
Final p, t and n
These end sounds are quick. Children may not hear the difference without careful listening.
Long i trap
Children who know 'eye' may read 'bit' as 'bite'. The short sound is /ih/.
Short i words are grouped by ending, with many repeats. Children see how changing one letter changes the word.
What’s inside
30 questions, one per slide.
Students type straight into the box — no printing, no cutting.

Questions
Before you buy.
Why are short i words so confusing?
They differ by a single letter at the end. Children need to look at the whole word, not just the start.
Do I need to do all four endings?
You can pick the one your child needs. The families are separate, so you can do just -ip or just -it.
How do I get the file?
The download link appears right after checkout and lands in your inbox at the same time. One PowerPoint file you can open in Google Slides.
Can I share it with my class?
Yes — one teacher can use it with their own students, this year and next. Sharing the file with other teachers needs a separate license.
Do I need Google Slides?
No. The file is a PowerPoint (.pptx). It opens in PowerPoint, and in Google Slides once you upload it to Google Drive.
What if it isn’t right for us?
